FireworksArts Festival - July 4th
The arts are an integral part of the town culture. And you can see it all come alive and come together over Fourth of July weekend. The Old Town (the historic section of Marblehead) is filled with celebration and entertainment.

The churches and public buildings become galleries for photographs, sculpture, paintings, arts and crafts, children's art, and so much more. Musicians, magicians, and entertainers perform all along Washington Street as part of the Street Festival. Concerts at Crocker Park magnificently blend music with the beautiful vista of the harbor.

Fourth of July Harbor Illumination and Fireworks
We're an independent bunch in Marblehead, so Independence Day has real meaning in this town. One of the most amazing things you will ever see is the Harbor Illumination. Imagine sitting on the beach or the rocky bluffs of our harbor filled with boats, almost to bursting. As the sun sets on a sultry summer night, bright red flares placed every ten feet around the entire harbor are lit, in what is described as a dazzling ruby necklace. It's extraordinary. And it heralds the spectacular fireworks display. Especially dramatic because Marblehead is such a remarkably historic place.Re-enactment

The Fourth of July Horribles Parade
There's a legend behind this event that the town's children had such a long day waiting for the fireworks display, that this parade was created for them. The result is a unique event which features hundreds of kids in costumes, lots of humor, satire, political commentary and just the best of old-fashioned fun.

Glover's Regiment Annual Encampment starts July 4th
A Re-enactment of the Revolutionary War.

Race Week
You don't have to be a sailor or a yachtsman to appreciate the excitement of Race Week. The last week of July, Marblehead's yacht clubs - there are easily a half a dozen - host this regatta under sail.

Yacht RaceNew England Championships
The same spirit - only this time embracing all of New England - brings the boats to Marblehead again in August. What a sight!

Salem's Haunted Happenings, Salem
The month of October is transformed into three weeks of fun and celebration of Halloween. Don't miss an opportunity to visit Salem during this Halloween festival.

Christmas Walk & Holiday Concerts
The first weekend in December, the shops and restaurants play host to a town-wide open house designed to spark holiday shopping and the warmth of community neighborliness. The town comes out to enjoy this annual event with holiday spirit and warm community neighborliness. Santa even arrives in Marblehead by lobster boat. And, many of the town's churches host afternoon and evening concerts.
